Agreement

This website, caltecbahamas.com, is operated by Caltec Bahamas Ltd. ("CalTec", "we", "us"), an IT services firm based in Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas. By using the website or the CalTec Network client portal (the "CTN portal"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Services are governed by separate agreements

These terms cover use of the website and portal only. Our managed IT services, projects and consulting are governed by the written services agreement signed by each client. If anything in these terms conflicts with a signed services agreement, the services agreement wins.

Information, not advice

The content on this website is general information about our services and about IT, security and compliance topics. It is provided in good faith, but it is not professional, legal or compliance advice for your specific situation, and it may not reflect the most recent changes in law or technology. Talk to us (or the appropriate professional) before acting on it.

The CTN portal

The CTN portal is for CalTec clients and their authorized staff. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend portal access to protect the platform or other clients, or where an account is used in breach of these terms. Documents in the portal, such as invoices, proposals and contracts, form part of your commercial relationship with us under your services agreement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site or portal, or attempt to bypass its security;
• Use the site or portal to transmit malware or anything unlawful, defamatory or infringing;
• Scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or data from the site or portal;
• Impersonate CalTec, a CalTec client, or any other person;
• Interfere with the availability of the site or portal for others.

Intellectual property

The CalTec name, logo, and the content and design of this website belong to Caltec Bahamas Ltd. or its licensors. You may view, download and print pages for your own reference, but you may not reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The website and portal are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of the website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Bahamian law, and nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy under a signed services agreement.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and the courts of The Bahamas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
